Savitri Pandey
A distinguished advocate at the Supreme Court of India. Holding a B.Sc. (Chemistry Hons.) from Banaras Hindu University and L.L.B. and L.L.M. degrees from Meerut University, she has been practicing law since 1994. She started at the District Court in Meerut and moved to the High Court and Supreme Court in Delhi in 2000. Ms. Pandey has extensive experience in Public Interest Litigation, Company Affairs, and Arbitration. Appointed in the National Green Tribunal in 2013, she has handled significant environmental cases. She has served as Panel Counsel for the Government of India and Senior Panel Advocate for the State of U.P. A Life Member of the Supreme Court Bar Association, she actively participates in legal community activities.
A Lifelong Social Activist and Leader
Rita Singh
Mrs. Rita Singh, aged 67, began her social work journey in 1983 in Delhi under the mentorship of the late Shri Sahib Singh Verma. After relocating to Ghaziabad, she continued her mission, helping arrange marriages for over 50 poor girls and assisting more than 100 accident victims. With a strong leadership background and political involvement in BJP Mahila Morcha and National BJP Vyapar Prakoshth, she champions community service. As National President of Purabiya Jankalyan Parishad and founder of Kushbhawan Utthan Sewa Samiti, she supports education and healthcare for the underprivileged. Her dedication to women's empowerment is evident as Pink Booth Prabhari. Mrs. Singh's efforts have positively impacted countless lives.
Distinguished Historian
Shireen Moosvi
​With over forty years of teaching at Aligarh, she has significantly influenced academic discourse. As a Senior Fulbright Fellow (1983-84) and a Resident Fellow at the Bellagio Centre in Italy (1990-91), Professor Moosvi has fostered international academic exchange. Her accolades include the National Career Award from the UGC (1986-89). She has served as President of the Indian History Congress and a member of the Central Advisory Board of Archaeology. A prolific author, her recent work includes "Agrarian Poverty in Colonial Uttar Pradesh." She promotes a secular understanding of Indian history as Secretary of the Aligarh Historians Society.
